THE RUSSIAN FUTURISTS
The Russian Futurists hail from Eastern Ontario, Canada. They make brilliant lo-fi magisterial orchestral pop; like'IMAX epics shot on Super8' if you will. Formed by AM radio and whisky fanatic Matt Adam Hart (on the left of the pic above) in 2001, the band have released three albums in Canada - 'The Method of Modern Love, 'Let's Get Ready to Crumble' and'Our Thickness' and have garnered celebrity indie fans in Peter Buck and Graham Coxon and comparisons to Magnetic Fields, Flaming Lips & Brian Wilson.
